CC2222 MOTION GRAPHIC DESIGN: SLICK OBJECT TRANSITIONS
Task Introduction
The task requires us to create a slick object transitions animation by using Adobe Illustrator & After Effects with following the instruction video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtHJXO2WFLU. Then, amend then elements according to our preferences either by changing the objects or colors.
Design Process
Before doing the animation, Adobe Illustrator was used to design the objects. A square shape was used as a guide template in order for all the objects are within the same size and placement.
The assets were then imported into Adobe After Effects to start the animation process. Transition animation of each of the elements of the objects are animated. These transition includes adjusting the 'Scale' and 'Position'. Track Matte was also used for some of the elements to further enhance the transition effect from one object to another.
Most of the keyframes created were converted into easy ease and graph editor was used to adjust the speed of the animation between keyframes. Several adjustments were added to create different animation speed effects. Similar effects were used repetitively throughout the entire animation process with various adjustments accordingly.
